Mr. Forbis was academically trained as an anthropologist, not and artist. His art is self-taught. Before he starts any work, he spends extented time learning what feelings that person hopes to have expressed.
Steve Forbis' work reflects his friendship and sensitivity to the Native Americans of the Southwestern United States. He is creating a visual history of the Indian people as they live today.
He combines this rapport with precise attention to detail. His works are alive and vibrant with this commitment!

Gene Mason Norris has devoted countless hours of his life to graphic interpretation. He decorated WW2 bomber noses, spent years of technical, scientific and commercial illustrating, and pursued his greatest love, fine art painting.
Norris works in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Born in Colorado, he majored in Fine Arts at Colorado University. He has further developed his abilities through the ensuing years. A long-time resident of New Mexico, he has had wide exposure to Southwestern subjects.
Winning awards of distinction for his art, his work has been used extensively in commercial advertising. It has been animated on national televisions, including work on NASA space flights.
