The Eddy County Emergency Management Advisory Board is an interjurisdictional board consisting of representatives from Eddy County, the Cities of Carlsbad and Artesia, the Villages of Loving and Hope, and the U.S. Department of Energy. The board was formed in 1992 in order to oversee the Eddy County Emergency Management Program (A-92-06). Department heads from various local response agencies, administrators and elected officials meet on a quarterly basis to address areas of concern for disaster response.
